Who is The Fantasy Judge?

See the about page.

Will the Judge provide DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports) content?

Unlikely. DFS requires, obviously, an entirely different strategy than season-long fantasy leagues. Although many of the experts the Judge reviews also write about DFS, it often requires a separate, more expensive subscription, and has more limited appeal than season-long leagues.

Will the Judge review gambling sites?

No. Again, some of our experts do provide sports wagering advice, but that is not the focus of the site, nor could the Judge hope to evaluate the thousands of touts, many of whom charge hundreds of dollars per week for their "locks." Covers.com does an excellent job of covering all aspects of sports wagering, including a section dedicated to expert picks. Another terrific resource for sports betting information is VSiN, either online or on their dedicated SiriusXM channel.

Who decides what the "case" will be each week?

Based on trending news, surprises, disappointments, and closely-watched scenarios, the Fantasy Judge tries to identify a key player performance that could have made the difference between winning and losing a fantasy matchup. The Judge awards credit to expert analysts who identified the result ahead of time and communicated that valuable information to their readers so they could adjust their lineups.

How did the Judge choose the experts to follow?

Some were sources the Judge has read or subscribed to before, others were based on recommendations and followers. The Judge has anonymously subscribed to some of the listed sites, but any site with a season subscription price over $50 was not considered. Sites that don't publish player rankings every week can't be fairly evaluated and were thus rejected. The list is not complete or comprehensive. If you write for a site that would like to be included in the Judge's evaluations, please contact him. More info here
